Elainne is Advanced trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is recognized as an innovative brief model mental health therapy tool using imagery re-scripting and memory re-consolidation to alter negative emotions and sensations associated with trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias, addiction and other mental health issues in only a few sessions. ART is life changing and I can't wait to talk to you about it! Elainne is committed to helping individuals remove or work through barriers that are preventing them from living their most authentic and productive life. She has 30 years experience working with diverse populations of clients in residential, institutional, educational, medical, and therapeutic communities. Elainne is passionate about empowering individuals to recognize and use their own strengths in problem solving. If you are looking for a therapist who is accepting of you, will keep it real with you, and who is collaborative in problem solving, Elainne may be right for you. Sarcasm and wit are encouraged and welcome here! Elainne's practice focuses on individuals ages 15+ who are struggling with life and various life transitions. Areas of therapeutic focus includes: Level 1 or 2 Autism, executive function, ADHD, AUDHD, sensory processing, difficulties with transition within any life phase, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, and more. Modalities used: Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Talk Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Sand Tray, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Aspects of art and play therapy are also utilized. Elainne uses a person centered, relaxed and calming approach to therapy sessions. She utilizes relaxation exercises, play, art, talk therapy, and solution focused problem solving to assist clients in finding comfort when working through barriers to success. Elainne practices in a flexible and comforting environment. In addition to a traditional office with a couch and bouncy egg chair, clients can also choose to meet in a setting with sensory items and hands on activities that include art, games, sand, building tools, puzzles, etc. Clients are encouraged to use the room that best meets their needs. Take off your shoes. Lay on the couch or floor. Sit on the couch or floor. Walk around the room, control the temperature and lighting in the room for your comfort. You can have what you need here! Just show up and we'll work together on the rest. Appointments are currently available Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm. Elainne is also available to see clients on some Friday mornings.
